Healthcare IT Project Manager
***As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain this clearance ***
The Healthcare IT Project Manager oversees and manages projects within the 4DW Program focused on healthcare data transformation initiatives, including clinical data repositories, patient data integration, imaging workflows, and clinical reporting capabilities. This role is highly project-management centric and requires strong ownership of schedules, structure, and cross-vendor coordination.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Healthcare IT Project Manager: $100,000 – $140,000
Pay commensurate with experience.

Healthcare IT Project Manager Responsibilities Include:
Lead Healthcare IT data transformation projects involving clinical and patient data domains
Own and maintain integrated project schedules in Microsoft Project, ensuring dependencies and milestones remain accurate
Provide structure, expectations, and coordination across subcontractors, technical teams, and stakeholders
Support initiatives such as Clinical Data Repositories (CDRs), clinical data pipelines, imaging workflows, and healthcare analytics platforms
Facilitate subcontractor and vendor meetings to drive execution and accountability
Manage risks, dependencies, and readiness across multiple workstreams
Ensure clear entry/exit criteria for major milestones and project phases
Oversee cutover readiness, go-live coordination, and operational transition activities
Maintain project documentation including schedules, RAID logs, status reporting, and executive updates
Communicate project progress, risks, and decisions to leadership and stakeholders
Manage scope, schedule, and change control to maintain delivery alignment
Perform other duties as assigned
Healthcare IT Project Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
Active PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (preferred)
5+ years Project Management experience with strong schedule ownership
Background in Healthcare IT (preferred 60–70%)
Experience supporting projects involving patient demographics, clinical data, or healthcare data platforms
Exposure to healthcare imaging workflows (DICOM, radiology, CT/X-ray imaging programs) is a strong plus
Proven experience managing technical teams delivering data transformation or integration initiatives
Demonstrated ownership of Microsoft Project schedules (not just updates)
Experience coordinating subcontractors and multi-vendor environments
Strong risk management, dependency management, and governance skills
Ability to translate between technical teams and business stakeholders
Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal and must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance through the Government.
