Overview:
The Senior Business Travel Sales Manager is a strategic, senior-level role responsible for driving Corporate Preferred Business Travel, Luxury Leisure, and Entertainment segment revenue for Viceroy Santa Monica. This position plays a critical role in elevating key account relationships, expanding luxury leisure partnerships (including American Express The Hotel Collection (THC)), and strengthening the hotel’s presence within the Entertainment and agency communities.
This role requires a sophisticated understanding of luxury positioning, relationship-driven sales, and high-touch account management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategy and execution for Corporate Preferred Business Travel accounts
- Negotiate and manage high-value corporate agreements aligned with luxury positioning
- Drive incremental revenue while protecting ADR and brand integrity
- Collaborate with Revenue Management on pricing, displacement, and production strategies
- Cultivate and manage Luxury Leisure partnerships, including American Express THC, luxury travel advisors, and consortia
- Actively grow Entertainment industry business, including studios, production companies, agencies, and talent-related travel
- Design and deliver tailored experiences for luxury and entertainment clients
- Host and coordinate FAM trips, site inspections, and curated client experiences
- Elevate key account relationships through innovative sales strategies and proactive engagement
- Represent Viceroy Santa Monica at high-level industry events, luxury trade shows, and entertainment-related functions
- Maintain deep knowledge of competitive luxury sets and market dynamics
- Actively contribute to hotel-wide strategy discussions, forecasting, and long-term planning
- Own weekly and monthly reporting for Business Travel, Luxury Leisure, and Entertainment segments
- Participate in revenue strategy sessions and sales leadership meetings
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure flawless guest experiences for high-profile clientele
Qualifications:
College course work in related field helpful.
At least 2 years sales experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Must be skilled in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing.
Long hours sometimes required.
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
