What We're Looking For:
- Education:Â High School Diploma or GED, required. ARDMS or ARRT or RVT registry required.
- Experience:Â One year experience in Vascular Sonography, required.
- Licensure/Certification:Â ARRT RT(S) or ARDMS certified or Board eligible, required. RVT, required.
- Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; good communication skills, capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms; working knowledge of various types of ultrasound equipment, able to adapt to new and various situations and procedures according to age of patient served. Has ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Basic computer skills.
What You'll Do:
Perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound procedures including arterial and venous studies.
Evaluate blood flow using Doppler ultrasound techniques.
Prepare patients for procedures and explain examination processes to ensure comfort and understanding.
Obtain and record accurate diagnostic images and measurements for physician interpretation.
Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
Document exam findings and patient information accurately in the electronic medical record.
Follow departmental protocols and maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Assist with scheduling, workflow coordination, and maintaining exam rooms and supplies as needed.
