Carolina School Services is hiring an Evaluating OT to support school-based OT evaluations and screenings across Raleigh and surrounding communities. This is an as-needed role to assist with evaluations at various school sites but could be steady part time to full time work.
Schedule & Location
- PRN / As-needed, based on evaluation needs
- Travel required: driving up to 1 hour to school sites
- Evaluations must be completed on-site; all additional paperwork can be completed from home
Pay:
- $55–$65/hour, based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students' functional abilities using standardized tests, observations, and interviews.
- Develop comprehensive reports that highlight strengths, barriers, and therapy needs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to help create or revise Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Design and implement individualized therapy plans to enhance fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, visual perceptual and cognitive skills, as well as self-care and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and parents to seamlessly integrate therapy strategies into the classroom environment.
- Recommend modifications to the school environment to enhance accessibility for all students.
- Ensure compliance with IEP goals and legal requirements.
- Contribute to annual IEP reviews and triennial re-evaluations with enthusiasm!
Required Skills:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Proven experience in pediatric occupational therapy, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of standardized testing and assessment tools.
