Our client, a life sciences and water treatment solutions leader, is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Engineering Skilled Trade Expert) to join their team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be part of the Field Service Operations department supporting laboratory, pharmaceutical, and clinical customer sites across the Richmond, VA territory. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer communication, and mechanical/electrical aptitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Field Service Engineer (Engineering Skilled Trade Expert)
Location: Alexandria, VA (Field-based – Richmond, VA territory)
Pay Range: $31.00 – $33.00/hr
What’s the Job?
- Install, repair, maintain, and qualify water purification systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service calls
- Complete and close work orders and service documentation daily
- Maintain tools, test equipment, and consignment inventory
- Support neighboring territories and custom system installations
What’s Needed?
- Minimum 1 year of field service or skilled trade experience
- Hands-on experience with water treatment or water purification systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel overnight and work flexible hours as needed
