Join our healthcare partner's dedicated team and provide exceptional care to patients with psychiatric and behavioral health needs. You will be working in a unit with a bed size of 9, where patient ratios can be up to 1:9. Your expertise will be crucial in managing a diverse patient population, ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.
- Provide high-quality psychiatric nursing care to patients
- Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation
- Participate in a weekend/holiday rotation every third weekend
- Demonstrate charge experience and leadership skills
- Maintain active Iowa or compact/multistate nursing license
- Hold current BLS certification from AHA or ARC
- Possess or be willing to obtain a de-escalation certificate (MOAB, MAB, CPI, SAMA)
- Minimum 24 months of experience in a Psych/BH capacity required
- Experience with Med Surg, Tele, Med/Tele is essential
- Ability to work with all age groups and manage patient de-escalation effectively
