As a Med Surg Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in a rehabilitation medical-surgical setting, focusing on patients recovering from surgery, serious illness, or injury. You will coordinate total nursing care, participate in patient and family teaching, and provide leadership by collaborating with the healthcare team to maintain professional nursing standards. This position requires flexibility and a commitment to excellence in patient care.
- Coordinate total nursing care for patients
- Participate in patient and family teaching
- Provide leadership and collaborate with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel
- May be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse
- Must be willing to float between Acute Rehab and Med Surg units
- Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting
- Utilize Cerner EMR system
- Nurse to patient ratio: 1 to 4/5
- Average daily patient census: 22
- Must have own vehicle due to the small community setting
Requirements:
- 2 years recent Med Surg Rehab experience
- Charge RN experience required
- Previous travel experience (at least 3 months)
- BSN strongly preferred
- New Hampshire RN license or Compact
- Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
- 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past two years
- Skills checklist for Medical Surgical, current to 1 year
