Construction Safety Officer

A Construction Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of construction sites. They implement safety protocols, conduct inspections, and provide training to workers. Their role includes identifying and mitigating potential hazards, enforcing safety regulations, and promoting a culture of safety on construction projects.
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Construction Safety Officer: $Pay commensurate with experience.

Construction Safety Officer Responsibilities Include:
Supports the project manager and/or site superintendent when directing subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction.
Construction Safety Officer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
Must currently hold the OSHA 30 or EM385-1-1 40 certificates. Specific education or training in the following areas is a bonus: Asbestos Abatement, Concrete Masonry, Formwork/Shoring, Confined Space, Excavation/Trenching, Soil Classification, Electrical/LOTO, Equipment/Machinery, Fall Protection, HAZCOM, HAZMAT, Industrial Hygiene, Lead Compliance, Mold Remediation, Scaffolding/Ladders Underground Construction Welding/Cutting etc.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contract documents, blueprints, specifications, engineering reports, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
