Expectations:
Evaluates, plans and administers treatments for disabilities, injuries and diseases in accordance with a physician's order. Responsible for coordination of care to meet identified Physical Therapy needs of the patient/family; participates in the management of patient care to include identification, monitoring care delivery, advocating for the patient, evaluating outcomes, facilitating patient care across the health care continuum, and assists other team members with meeting patient needs. Is preceptor for related staff and students. Requires California State Physical Therapist License.
This position may require flexibility of hours. This position will require floating between the acute hospital and inpatient rehabilitation settings.
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Determined by patient care area with 1 year related practice experience preferred.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Current Physical Therapy License issued by Physical Therapy Board of California
Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
SKILLS:
1. Physical Therapy provides assessment, treatment, and family/staff consultation and education services. Patients referred for Physical Therapy by a physician will receive an evaluation that is appropriate to age, medical diagnosis, and family concerns. A treatment plan is developed from the evaluation findings. Age specific Physical therapy intervention is provided as defined by the individualized treatment plan.
2. Physical Therapy is performed by Physical therapists (PT) and Physical therapist assistants (PTA) that are licensed by the state of California. There is at least one Physical therapist that is CCS-paneled on the hospital staff.

Pay Range: The estimated base rate for this position is $53.08 - $75.82.
Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
