Are you the “go-to” expert for facilities operations, skilled in water systems, air compressors, building sprinkler systems, and electrical power distribution? Join our Kansas City, KS plant as a Facilities Technician, where you’ll play a vital role in keeping our environment safe, efficient, and running smoothly. This is a second shift position (2 pm – 10 pm), working all week. The starting hourly pay rate for this position is $37.93.

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

Technical Troubleshooting & Repairs – Diagnose, repair, and maintain building equipment assets such as natural gas-fired boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and oxidizers.

Facility Systems Maintenance – Perform millwork, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical tasks to ensure optimal operation of plant systems and equipment.

Project Leadership – Evaluate work orders, determine scope and procedures, and lead installation, maintenance, and repair projects—guiding other technicians as needed.

Safety & Compliance – Consistently follow and enforce all safety, health, and quality procedures to support our production goals.

Customer Service & Collaboration – Build strong relationships with plant partners, respond to issues with urgency, and conduct daily rounds to identify and resolve facility needs.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in facility maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing setting, including hands-on work with building systems such as HVAC, boilers, chillers, air compressors, water and sprinkler systems, and electrical power distribution.
- Demonstrated ability to perform both preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently to support plant operations.
- Knowledge of standard tools, equipment, materials, and practices in building maintenance crafts.
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Skill in reading, interpreting, and working from rough sketches, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory requirements related to facility operations.
