Job Summary and Qualifications
- The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager. The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
- Exposure to multiple specialties (maternal, neonatal and pediatrics) which includes managing high-risk pregnancies, neonatal care, pediatric support, postpartum recovery and surgical procedures.
- Fast-paced, high volume environment that will sharpen critical thinking, time management, and decision making skills.

- Flexible PRN Schedule: 6 12/hr shifts per 4 week schedule plus rotating weekends.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
- BLS required upon hire. NRP certification required within 1 month of hire. ACLS and AWHONN Fetal monitoring required for LD/AP. PALs required for Pediatrics.
- 2 years acute care experience in a minimum of two of the five areas served by Women’s Services Float Pool: Mother Baby, NICU, Labor & Delivery / Antepartum , Pediatrics , Women’s Surgery.

We offer the region’s only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU.
