Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is actively hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for our Float Pool. Experienced nurses with at least 1 year of acute care experience encouraged to apply. Experienced RNs are eligible for a sign-on bonus.

Our Registered Nurses have the opportunity to practice at the top of their license, using research, innovation and evidence-based practices. The Float Pool offers support to multiple acute care in patient units including Telemetry, Med/Surg, Emergency Department and the ICU.

Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is a 122-bed, general acute care community hospital located in Torrington, Connecticut, that serves as a regional health care resource for the 100,000 residents of Litchfield County and Northwest Connecticut. Charlotte Hungerford Hospital’s Medical-Surgical Unit offers its nurses a collaborative work environment as they care for a wide variety of patients with acute care conditions. Medical-Surgical nurses work as a team to deliver holistic care to patients and their families. Working in this supportive environment allows a graduate nurse the opportunity to gain experience across a range of acuity-levels of care, and develop his or her critical thinking, delegation, and time management skills. The specialty medicine division offers opportunities for career development in surgery, critical care, emergency and maternal nursing, professional growth, and life-long learning.

Qualifications

Current Connecticut RN License required prior to start date
Graduate of an accredited nursing school
ASN Required (Must obtain a BSN within 6 years of starting in the RN role)
BLS certification by the American Heart Association
