Job Description:
This position provides therapy services to adult patients, including evaluation and assessment, treatment, education, and consultation to improve patients’ abilities to their highest possible level. This position provides services as part of a care team assembled to assure optimal clinical and financial outcomes, under the direction of Essentia Health management and the referring physician. Education Qualifications:
- OT Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree,Master's Degree, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from accredited program
- PT Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree,Master's Degree, or Doctorate Degrees from a physical therapy accredited program
PT/OT Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy evaluation, develop individualized treatment plans, implement evidence-based interventions, provide patient/caregiver education, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload.
- Provide all ancillary/administrative requirements for a full caseload of patients, including documentation, billing, scheduling management, and other administrative duties
- Demonstrateappropriate communication,professionalismand supervision of support staff (licensed assistants,aides, volunteers)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensureoptimalclinical and financial outcomes.
- Work closely with Essentia Healthleadershipand coordinate with referring physicians to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Complywithorganizational policies and procedures andthecode of conduct
- Meet professional organization core values, code of ethics, &/or scope of practice
- Work where the patientneedis highest (including flexing to other departments) when home department schedule allows
- May serve as a clinical instructor,participateindepartmentor therapy discipline committees, and complete credential/certification that wouldbenefitpatient care
Schedule will typically be weekdays day shift. No holiday or weekend requirement unless requested.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
- OT License Requirements: Current state licensure as Occupational Therapist
- PT License Requirements: Currentphysical therapylicense in the state performing services
