Central Cooling & Heating is looking for an experienced HVAC Field Service Manager to lead, coach, and develop our service technicians.

For more than 50 years, Central Cooling & Heating has served customers throughout Greater Boston. We’re looking for a hands-on leader who understands HVAC, knows how to get the best out of a team, and can keep field operations running safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

Lead, coach, and develop a team of HVAC Service Technicians
Oversee daily field service operations
Drive technician productivity, performance, revenue, and customer satisfaction
Coordinate with dispatch to ensure the right technicians and resources are assigned to each job
Provide technical guidance on complex HVAC service and troubleshooting issues
Monitor KPIs, callbacks, labor hours, service quality, and overall department performance
Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable for results
Handle customer escalations and resolve field issues
Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard technicians
Identify training needs and help technicians continue developing their skills
Ensure OSHA, safety, and company standards are followed
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and controlling service-related expenses
Partner with dispatch, sales, technicians, and leadership to improve operations
Identify problems quickly and implement solutions
Build a positive, accountable, high-performing service team

What We’re Looking For

HVAC service management or field leadership experience
Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, troubleshooting, service, and repair
Experience leading and developing HVAC Service Technicians
Strong operational and problem-solving skills
Comfortable managing KPIs, productivity, revenue, and service performance
Ability to handle customer escalations and high-pressure situations
Strong communication and leadership skills
Safety-focused with knowledge of OSHA and field safety requirements
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
